For the past ten years, I have coached students through middle school, high school, college, graduate school, law school and medical school. A former middle school writing paraprofessional, I have collaborated with students of varying skill levels on essays of all types, lengths, subjects and themes.
I am a proud member of NACAC, the National Association for College Admission Counseling, an organization of independent college counselors, guidance counselors from public and private high schools, and college admissions officers. This network shares tips and news about higher education and college admissions. I keep up-to-date on the latest news in the ever-changing world of college admissions and visit several colleges every year. I am also a member of IECA, the Independent Educational Consultants Association, and HECA, the Higher Education Consultants Association.
I am a professional public relations executive & editor, with over 25 years of experience in the field of communications. As a PR pro, my strength lies in branding, finding a compelling story, and engaging an audience. Throughout my PR career, I have worked with celebrities, rock stars, businessmen and power brokers. However, nothing comes close to the challenges, rewards and joys of working with students.
Communicating through the written word offers unlimited, exciting opportunities to be exceptional, and to distinguish oneself from others! I love sharing this passion and enthusiasm with “my kids,” and have found that when we collaborate as a team, the student not only succeeds, he enjoys the process.
